The Ketogenic Diet is a low carb, high fat, moderate protein diet. It has become quite popular recently for weight loss and other health issues. A recent study published in the Journal of Experimental and Clinical Cardiology concluded that a long term ketogenic diet resulted in lower body fat, as well as lower triglycerides, LDL cholesterol, and blood sugar. It also resulted in an increase in HDL cholesterol. These are all good things!
